Twenty eight TFM team members lead by Richard Scott supported this mission.  The team was split into three with Roy Bradfield leading a team covering Wallasey Village, Dave Cooke covering Liscard Central and George Martin covering Moreton.  On the Sunday morning, at the start of the mission, Richard was interviewed on BBC Radio Merseyside’s Sunday morning programme Daybreak and was able to talk about the mission and how it involved a number of local churches coming together.

This was a very well prepared mission with the local group of ten churches having organised numerous different events during the week.  An example of some of these were; a healing service, a showing of the film Marvellous about the life of special needs clown and Stoke City supporter Neil Baldwin, school visits and speaking at school Christian unions, children’s treasure hunt, curry evening, men’s breakfasts, sports quiz, acoustic soul evening, two Hot Potato events and much more.  Each day began with an early morning prayer meeting for the mission which were well supported by around twenty local church members.

130516 Team Photo 4As usual the teams spent time doing door to door work and it was very encouraging to see TFM team members joined by a number of local church members and church ministers.  For those who had shown an interest on the door to door visiting follow up had been arranged by the churches.

Following the mission a local church member wrote:
“…I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you so much for all your work and enthusiasm over the last week here at Moreton. I never believed I would be able to go door-to-door so thank you for taking me and being gentle with me. You have left us all with so much enthusiasm and confidence. Thank you.
