On Saturday 9th May staff and supporters of TFM gathered at Shelford Baptist Church to worhsip and pray together and listen to reports from staff, trustees and team members on all that's been happening over the last year at TFM and our plans for the future. 

The day was opened by Paul Preston, our chair of trustees, who described where the trustees were in recruiting a new leader for TFM and the role the trustees envisaged this new position would entail.  He emphasised the need for TFM to acknowledge the need to recruit new and younger staff and team members.

Our keynote speaker was John Hibberd, a former lead evangelist for TFM and now Mission Development adviser for Sheffield and Rotherham.  John gave us some details of what evangelism programmes were happening nationally and his sense that there was a change of 'climate' in church structures with a much greater emphasis on evangelism.  It was becoming increasingly unacceptable for churches not to have a strategy for evangelism.  The 'same old, same old' way of doing things was no longer an option.
