Roger Murphy announces his retirement

As some of you know I have recently been considering my future role at Through Faith Missions (TFM) and in discussions and prayer with the Trustees and staff we all feel that it is the right time for me to retire from full time employment with TFM.

The recent appointment of Tim Hall as head of TFM has created a variety of new evangelistic opportunities which, for me, would mean ‘going back on the road again’ with commitments well into the future which I don’t able to commit myself to.

So it is the end of several eras as I have worked with TFM for 40 years and the last 15 as a full time Associate Evangelist.  During this time I have led hundreds of missions, been involved in all of the Walks except the Pennines and seen many people of all ages become Christians.  It has been a tremendous privilege to work alongside Daniel, Peter, John, Jonathan, both David’s and many others at TFM, including countless numbers of great team members.

I will be retiring on 31 May 2019 and ‘officially’ marking the event at the next Prayer Partners Conference on Sat June 22.  It would be great to share this with you if you were able to attend.

As to the future beyond retirement, both the staff and trustees have asked if I would be available for speaking engagements, missions and other appropriate events as and when they came along.  I would be glad to consider such opportunities subject to my availability.

In the future I shall be looking for new opportunities to serve the Lord with invitations to speak in various places and also continuing to speak at events locally and develop evangelism in Seaford and up at The Cabin.  I shall also be sending out a monthly bulletin of news and evangelism activity and events so if you would like to receive it then please reply and let me know (Contact Roger at roger@throughfaithmissions.org or via the TFM office).

Finally many thanks to all of you who have prayed and supported us for many years and we rejoice at what The Lord has achieved through us all.
