On Saturday 18 March the TFM admin team (David and Tao) accompanied Dan Holland and Peter Sammons to deliver a training day for the Wolverhampton Mission (scheduled, God willing, for the Coronation Week - 29 April to 07 May). The mission is to be hosted by three churches; International Life Centre Wolverhampton, WV1 , St Mary’s Bushbury, WV10 and Hope City Church, WV3.
Saturday’s training event was well attended with more than 60 people. Some TFM ‘veterans’ joined for refresher training, and it was great to see old friends again, but the majority were first- timers - we praise God. And we had quite a few of a younger cohort, and that’s so valuable, representing God’s investment in the future. Dan and Peter were able to stay-over and joined the three churches in their Sunday worship.
Although we do not yet have a formal theme for mission week, it coincides, by God’s timing, with Coronation Week, so we have a sub-text of “Crowning the King”, but of course we are thinking of King Jesus, “King of Kings and Lord of Lords” (1 Timothy 6:15). We have a one-off survey based on this theme, which will be promulgated to all TFM supporters via the website, if folk would like to use it for any local initiatives you may be planning. More in due course ......
Overall we are very buoyed-up by the training weekend and the evident enthusiasm and commitment of the three host churches.
Teams and Prayers
Volunteers still needed to complete the mission teams. Also, prayer partners needed, please. Could be you?
