Highley is a large village in Shropshire, England, on the west bank of the River Severn and 7 miles south east of Bridgnorth.  David Robbens, a long time TFM supporter, Team Leader and former trustee, recently led a mission there using TFM principles although not actually a TFM mission.  Here is his report.

God was GOOD!

Accommodation was in the Church hall.

Briefly, we did door to door visiting, doing beliefs surveys on the Friday - in Highley in the morning of Friday and in the outer parishes on Friday afternoon. We had many good conversations, quite a few no thank you's and many doors unanswered.

Saturday found us doing a litter pick in the main street of Highley starting at the miners monument and working outwards from it, at the same time  some team members and local church team read out loud Mathews Gospel at the monument. Many very encouraging conversations resulted with both the pickers and the reading team. On Saturday afternoon we had cream teas with testimonies from 2 -4pm at the parish centre and several good conversations resulted - including a couple of young ladies on horses who had tea and cake on their horses outside the centre and both went off after a quite lengthy discussion on the Gospel and Jesus with a New Testament and Psalms and a Knowing God Personally booklet. Praise God. (the team hate to miss an opportunity)

Thursday evening there was a welcoming and commissioning service, Friday and Saturday evenings the team held healing and deliverance services during which the team prayed individually with over 30 people over the 2 nights and with 2 deliverances. One person had travelled quite a distance to attend one of the services and I never quite found out how he was aware the services were happening.

Sunday we led, gave testimony and preached at the morning service  followed by a parish lunch and then a debrief with the Benefice team. Two team members did one home visit on Sunday afternoon by request and Sunday evening we gave testimony and preached at the Drug Rehabilitation Ctr.
During the various discussions with folk on the doors and the street we had one signed response card to give to Rev Kina for follow up and 2 for further contact.
We finally had a team of 8- Simon 2ic, Mags, Garth, Stephen, Elisabeth, Marilyn and George who gelled into an amazing team for God. My only sadness during the time was that we never really managed to make a REALLY joyous noise praising the Lord, first team I have been on where that has happened - several of them sung as well as me, so it was really a non starter!!
The Benefice team were amazing, supportive and I believe encouraged .

We were blessed! - and with great weather too.

Praise God
David
