Basingstoke mission Blog - 9 to 17 Sept

Sunday 17 Sept - final mission day!

Dan reports:
'What a mission - fantastic! This morning I visited St Leonard's in Oakley. On seeing my TFM shirt many came up to reminisce about Walk Wessex 2003. One man hosted several TFMers for that mission. They were quite put out not to have been involved in this week.
TFM Pairs went out once again to different churches in the town.
Teams and pastors unanimously agree this week has been the best mission there yet. We thank God.

There will be a much fuller report to follow.

Friday 15 Sept - mission day 7

Dan reports: 'Today I have been with both teams, they are both full of joy and exhilarated at how freely the Spirit has been moving in them and through then. There are many fantastic testimonies which will eventually be written down. God is truly blessing this mission and rewarding all the hard work that has gone into making it happen. Keep praying, especially for the open air service tomorrow. God bless!'

This afternoon Dan also had opportunity to interview Pastor Ebow at WCF on the mission itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poz4oix7CUQ

Sunday 10 Sept - mission day 2

Pairs of team members were sent out in to local churches in Basingstoke this morning, and praise God Christina met an old friend from Walk Cornwall who also has a connection with Wessex Christian Fellowship, we pray for this the beginning of another networking of church getting involved in beaconing fire of Gospel sharing in Basingstoke.

Both teams met and spoke to many people today, given KGPs, leaflets and invites to events during the week, we pray for the Spirit's continuing work of mercy and grace through His servants' work.

We are also specially thankful to hear from the team that one man who stopped by the church yesterday afternoon (after conversation and prayers) came back to the church this morning, thank you Jesus! We pray that he continues to come back and finds a home there.

Dan gave an encouraging talk on James and committed the mission to the Lord with great rejoicing and loud clapping and cheering to His name.
